        Q: what size o-ring can be put on the wheel?

        The problem is that the grooves are 1 mm wide x 1 mm deep, so common o-rings don't really fit. O-rings with a thickness of 1 mm do fit in the groove, but they do not protrude over the tire and vice versa o-rings with a thickness of 1.5 mm would protrude but don't fit. However, the manufacturer could improve the tires by making the grooves wider than deep. I got 10 x 1.5 mm kind of mounted even if they do not sit 100% evenly, they do the job for me.

        Q: I am in the process of buying the system. Why would I need to buy these wheels? Doesnt the system come with wheels? I wouldnt think they would wear out very fast.

        If you accidentally slide the jig at all sideways while sharpening, you WILL put a flat spot on the wheels which is noticeable in use. I bought these replacements for exactly this reason.
